Century College Athetic Director Dwight Kotila retired from coaching college baseball after the 2019 season. His coaching career spanned 22 years, including the last 9 years at Century College where he started the baseball program in 2011. Prior to coming to Century College, he coached at Riverland CC from 1996-1998 leading them to their first ever NJCAA III World Series appearance in 1998, and at Ridgewater College from 1999-2008 leading them to 6 NJCAA World Series appearances (National Runner Up in 2005). He was hired at Century College in August 2008 to help bring back athletics after a 22 year absence, while also serving as the Athletic Director and Professor in the Physical Education/Health Department. The baseball program had its inaugural season in 2010-2011, and during those first 9 seasons Century made 5 appearances at the NJCAA III World Series (National Runner Up in 2013) and had 3 players drafted/signed by MLB (Jared Dettmann, Ryan Schlosser (both by the Atlanta Braves), and Ryan Hennen by the Kansas Ciy Royals. In 2019 Dwight Kotila was inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. His career coaching record stands at 717-254 (.738), and his teams made 12 appearances at the NJCAA III World Series while Head Coach at 3 different NJCAA colleges. Dwight Kotila currently serves as the Athletic Director and teaches in the Physical Education/Health Department.
